It's been a long long day and I had a great experience today. I finally met up with YanLing and we were supposed to go cycling with Charlene. The last time we did was months ago and finally we planned to cycle today so I was like so excited. The sad thing was that the sky was very dark since morning and I was praying hard that it would not rain. It began to drizzle the first time and the two of them came to my house for lunch. The sky then changed at around 2pm and it was sunny! Happily, we cycled to Punggol Park which was very empty today since its a weekday. The place was as beautiful as I remembered. The water and the plants. YanLing was having a really hard time using my old bicycle and we began to take turns riding that small bicycle that can't seem to move fast no matter how much force was applied. Slowly, it began to get dark again and we turned back. Stopping by a small shelter, it began to rain heavily. Somehow, I was already prepared because I experienced something like this before when I went cycling with ShuQi, Joelle, Angela and Joey. So I had brought along a towel and luckily I did. But the rain got heavier and we were there for more than an hour.
There were other people waiting under the shelter with us and there was this very annoying little boy running around and his mother did not even care. The little boy borrowed a dog from this owner who was also there and was like trying to seek attention from others. Even the dog seemed to be annoyed and was going against the small boy. The dog was forcefully moving toward the rain (Out of the shelter) and the boy was pulling it back into the shelter but the dog totally did not budge. The best part is, the little boy was shouting for help from the owner and when he was about to be dragged out into the rain due to the force from the dog leash, he totally released his hold on the leash and ran back into the shelter, leaving the dog running out in the rain. The owner even had to run after the dog in the rain. And while this whole thing was happening, the boy's mother did not even care and was simply sitting there playing with her ipad. Damn, I'll never ever do that if I'm a mother. A total brat seriously. I also don't know why I'm blogging about this but I just want to rant about it because it really annoyed me then. Hahaha. Anyways, the rain began to be less heavy and we decided to leave. But on the way back, it began to become heavy again! And there was no shelter nearby and the next shelter was very far away. No choice, we rode in the heavy rain. Reaching my house, we were drenched from head to toe as it was no short distance. Another experience riding in the rain but it was definitely not as bad as the other time when we rode in a heavier rain with lightning present! Hoping that I won't fall sick due to this because there are like so many stuff on next week. After a warm cup of Horlicks, it felt extremely good after riding in the cold rain. Phew. And the reason why the bicycle YanLing rode on was hard to cycle was because..... the tyre was flat. Ohmygod.... Hahahahahahahahaa.
