It's going to be a slightly longer weekend because yesterday was Hari Raya Haiji. Since my dad is flying off to the US tomorrow morning for an entire week, my family decided that we should celebrate my 18th birthday this weekend. Just yesterday, my parents and sis went down to Giant to get ingredients to prepare for Steam boat at home. It has been quite a long time since my family last sat together around the dining table and eat a meal together so the feeling was awesome, making me smile uncontrolably throughout the meal in my heart. This steam boat was different from the previous ones that I've ate. Normally, steamboat for me is consumed with one side of the soup is chicken stock while the other is tom yum but yesterday, we enjoyed delicious Sukiyaki soup with tom yum soup. Adding huge amounts of mushroom into the Sukiyaki soup brought out more flavour and it was simply delicious delicious delicious. Adding on was the Shabu Shabu beef which was the best beef I've ever tasted in my life. Yummy Yum Yum!
Moving on to today, it was a long day spent at the city area. Upon shopping at the sales floor, me and my sis stumbled across something old:
It's the fishing game! I can't remember when was the last time I've played with this when I was young. After spotting this, I was busy catching fishes as quickly as possible and even though I haven't have any experience or skill at real life fishing, I'm an expert at this game. ;) I'm sure all the people born in between 1990-2000 (Or maybe earlier) would remember playing with this because it was just so popular last time. Dinner today was fabulous because it's my fav korean delights. Kimchi, yum yum yum. Just as I was craving for it!
Second helping for the delicious ramen in the kimchi soup + my fav spicy rice cake. This dinner definitely brought me up to heaven.
Finally, my 18th birthday cake! Strawberry shortcake from Rive Gauche Patisserie which is my absolute fav because it's not as sweet as cakes from other shops and the strawberries are delicious. I feel so blissed :D
