It's around 10.30pm at night and I'm not studying anymore because I'm simply too lazy and can't be bothered.
So right now, I've just watched a xiaxue video showing how to create your own personalized crystal necklace and I remember that actually my sis and I had attempted to make some crystal angels before and we actually went to buy the beads and struggled to make bracelets and keychains of unique designs.
And that was when I thought of picking up an extra skill. What extra skill? Well.... I've never been a very good person in picking up new stuff but as many say, it's never too late to try. I mean... It's just too boring to keep doing the same limited stuff that I know right?
So I've thought about it and there are 4 main skills that I would love to pick up:
1. Driving
Oh god, this is the one thing I've wanted since I was like 12? Yes, it's been 6 long years and when I'm finally of age, my mum still does not allow me to learn it until I've grad from poly. But this is definitely something I would want to pick up. I mean... I've always pictured myself driving freely at night and shaking my head to the very up beat songs as I go down the highway & driving simply to Malaysia with my friends for like a one day trip.
How awesome does THAT sound?
2. Drawing
One thing I've loved, just sitting in front of a blank piece of paper with a pencil in my hand. Anything I draw can be as imaginative as I can be. Well... there's no boundaries for creativity right?
3. Knitting
I've never thought about this before until last Sunday when I knitted a cheapo bag for my little niece and my cousin showed me this picture of a knitted rabbit she gave my god brother. It never occurred to me to learn it but there was some interest. It looks really hard to make and my cousin told me she sat in the same spot for 7 hours to make a tiny rabbit.
Oh well, tutorials are everywhere right?
4. Languages
Learning another language and being able to switch between them is like awesome. I mean, you can even curse people in another language and they'll never know. ^^
5. Baking
I've baked again and again for a module project I had just completed and I'm seriously sick of baking because I simply baked around 4 times per week for about 2-3 months. I know just how tiring it is but nothing beats the feeling of peeking through the oven door to see how the end result would be.
Since I'm in a food course, naturally most of my coursemates would bake alot and alot of photos were posted into facebook. Each looked so yummy especially this chocolate cake I saw with white pearl frosting. Simply gorgeous. Baking simple stuff can never be compared to something like that.
Imagine baking something like this.
Admit it, you'll never bear to eat it.
It's kinda late, and I'm wiped. Time to turn in. Nights. ;) & oh yes, it's valentines day tomorrow.
