It's been a long day and finally I'm right here sitting in front of my com to post. Basically, today is angbao angbao angbao. Every relative you see, you have to shake their hand and say 'Happy New Year'. It's time for a family reunion.
Not sure for other people, but my family is really huge because my grandma on my father's side had 11 children and when they get married and have children who have their own children...... Yes, I know it's damn confusing and sometimes I just don't even know who some people are but still there's like angbao to take. Heh heh.
But it seems that I have problem remembering people's face because I was just with my other cousin and we were looking at this lady sitting opposite us and we were like asking each other who's wife is that when apparently, that lady and my cousin just got married last year. It was in November if I haven't remember wrongly. Oh. My. Gosh. Like STM much??
So money from angbao goes into my little piggie bank but I can't imagine how heartbroken I will be when I actually spend all of that once-in-a-year-easily-earned money at one go when I go to US. Even with how much I save, I don't even think it would be enough in the first place. Hais.
So chinese new year is the time to wear new clothes, I love chinese new year shopping because its the time to use the need to buy clothes as an excuse to buy stuff and my mum would have nothing to say. It's practically the only time she really joins in to give me opinions about the clothes I pick out. Gosh, how I wish my mum is like that all the time! But if she is, we'll probably go broke with our house full of appeal and whatever junk that I sometimes buy on impulse.
So this was my outfit for this year:
A simple white sleeveless with gold buttons top with high waist shorts that have 4 gold buttons sewed on with a pair of gorgeous heels that I bought from New Look! The heels costs 20 bucks only, totally worth it. Plus, my long and long and long not worn blazerrr.
The second photo made me look really chubby which made me realize that I have been putting on weight unknowingly recently. Then it's time to cut down but now it's CNY period! Who am I kidding about losing weight now?
Anyways, in summary (Because I'm simple too tired to continue writing on and on), its been a tiring day, maybe because I only slept for short hours last time. It's good to see some old familiar faces like some cousins, nephew and nieces.
