It's about 45 minutes before midnight and tomorrow is also Chinese New Year's eve! On new year every year, all we do is stuff ourselves with good food and grab as many red packets as possible. It's an opportunity to get money but usually the money is gone very quickly because I'm a good spender but this year there has to be control because I need to save up for my US trip in March.
Wow. It's already February 2013. The last time I remembered, I was excited and could not wait for another few months before I get on the plane to the US but right now, it's just next month. My mum even passed me a luggage, that I doubt it is even big enough to stuff all of my stuff inside, to start packing.
Gosh, time flies. Sometimes, it's just scary. :/
And always towards the end of the school semester, everyone would go 'Oh my gosh, I can't believe we're going to _____ year already. We're getting so old'. Yes, I'm also one who repeats this year after year and have been so 'old' year after year.
But its really hard to believe that I'll be going on my internship very soon (The day right after I land in Singapore!) in year 3 semester 1. I mean, I can even remember my orientation very clearly and it seems like just a day ago. Now I understand it when people say 'Treasure your school days because when you come out to work, it just sucks.' Yes, totally agree with that one.
So there is this tradition that has all the children in the world staying up late until midnight tomorrow night and this would symbolize long life for their parents or whatsoever. I'm not really a believer and I don't know this kinds of things very well but I guess I'll do it. Cuz... you know, you'll never know if it's real.
Posting once again, tomorrow night. For now, finish assignments so theres nothing to worry about during the new year. Sigh. X.X
