Even though not everything I've bought from US is not apparel, I can still proudly label what I've bought under fashion talk because I bet that around 90-95% of the things I bought are clothes. I know I already have alot of clothes but hey, sometimes it's good to have a change of wardrobe. Apparently I purposely prepared and made space in my wardrobe before I left for the trip because I heard the clothes are going to be nice and cheap over there. True enough, the clothes there seemed better than Singapore's in my opinion. The brand names like H&M, Cotton On and Forever 21 (Known as Forever XXI in US) are the same but somehow I found the spread they gave to be much nicer and at the same time, more affordable. For someone like me who loves to spend money on clothing, I don't really shop by budget but by the amount of items I buy and I judge by the quality of the apparel and the price to decide whether or not to buy it.
FOREVER 21 earrings
USD$4.80 for 6 pairs
Practically less than a dollar for a pair!
In Singapore, you can easily find a translucent tank top with a simple design that can easy cost over $20-30. Yes, most of the things here are overpriced. Luckily this was not the case in US and for most of these shops we entered, we actually spent over USD$100-$200 on apparel and leave with a huge big bag on hand. It was really worth it though. That amount of money is the total of alot of items combined. Of course, US has labels that Singapore do not have and during my short stay, I had a liking to 2 shops based in US. Firstly is the apparel shop Charlotte Russe!
This shop sells very cheap and nice clothing. And by cheap I mean like USD$10! Everything is very organized with the clothes hung by the corners of the shop being new and average pricing (Around USD$25-40) and the ones on sale in the middle of the shop. They had crazy sale prices and provides accessories in gold or silver. My tour group visited many factory outlets and I do remember entering this shop twice and spent over USD$120 each time! Secondly would be.... Claire's!
This shop is practically seen almost everywhere and it sells only accessories. It may look like an average shop like Montip but it sells really beautiful bracelets and earrings if you go around hunting in the shop. Some of the assessories may be overpriced but some are really worth it. Depends on the individual to determine if it's worth the price. A really ideal place to shop for accessories. There also another brand that I came across just once in a mall which isMaterial Girl. I did not pay much attention to it at first until I noticed a really beautiful dress on the mannequin. For someone like me who does not really favour wearing dresses, I knew at first glance that I want it.

This gorgeous looking dress was also on a picture that was pasted on the wall in the Material Girl section. Apparently I was very lucky because the dress on the mannequin was the last piece they had (No surprise why there's no more) and it was my size! Even though a little pricey (USD$30+), I still got it and I'm happy with that buy ;) After looking at the Material Girl Collection, this brand actually has many beautiful looking pieces but sadly, the store is only based in US :( I would have to spend 17-18 hours on the plane just to get there and shop for such clothing. Apart from all these, I've also got many other clothing such as army jacket and lace skirts (No idea if I would wear this man). I'm really excited to wear new stuff out and I'm going out really soon, can't decide what to wear yet though. I'm in a need of a haircut and I guess I'll get one today. The weather's too hot though. Hard to adapt back to the hot sun after being cool in US for 11-12 days! Signing off!
