So after long and long hours of watching cotton candy-like clouds in the sky, we finally arrived in Los Angeles, California.
For the first 2 days of the tour was the theme parks which was the part I was anticipating alot.
Day 1 was the Walk of Fame and Universal Studios Hollywood! The walk of fame was really really long and I was so afraid that I would not be able to find the star I wanted to find but I managed to in the end!
Christina Aguilera's Star on the Walk of Fame
There were many 'cosplayers' there as well dressed up in heroes such as Jack Sparrow, Spiderman and Batman. I've to admit that some was really horrendous but there was this Jack Sparrow who was really cute and so with a little tip, I took a shot with him!
I was super duper shy!
It was a good place for a start on the tour and walking down the walk of fame street was really interesting. Many sales people were on the go but they are not the annoying kind that bugs you to enter their shop but they greet you with bright smiles and asked how was your day.
Moving on the Universal Studios Hollywood! It had this grand entrance and there was even a red carpet laid out. And of course the signature globe at the entrance which made it totally different from Singapore's.
The first stop and the must see stop was the Studio Tour which brought all of us down the hill to this area where there were many stages that were where real movies are filmed in. It was a really exciting experience and we saw many many familiar settings and being on the actual set was so amazing.
Quietly moving through streets that were built
for movies such as Spiderman
Explosion and effects with some music
Cars are from the movie Fast & Furious
On set of 'Desperate Housewives'!
The little set of Whoville from the Grinch
A wreck scene from a plane crash
Apparently a real plane was bought just to be crashed and filmed
And the scene was only a few minutes long!
The highlight of the studios tour was a 3D thing with King Kong. It was in the dark and I tried to take a video but I'm going to post it up here because it has my retarded screaming and laughing. Would definitely be in the video I'm going to put together about the trip.
Of course, a theme park would be nothing without any excited rides. We did not try every single one because we only had an afternoon there. The Transformers 3D was very very similar as the Singapore one which made it having no surprise at all.
On the other hand, the Revenge of the Mummy The Ride (ROM) was very different with only a few factors the same as the Singapore one was much more awesome in Hollywood. Not trying to be bias but it was more exciting than the transformers ride. A must-ride ride!
Also, there was Jurassic Park The ride which made a much higher fall at the climax of the ride and apparently they want you to get wet no matter what so it was not the water that was splashed by the boat making you wet. They used some water pressure thing to shoot water high into the air upward and it would all land on you from above. So smart right? And I got drenched (Not soaked through). Definitely better than Singapore's and a must-ride as well.
The most memorable ride was the House of Horrors which is a haunted house! My family went in together and the funny thing was, outside the building, they said there was a 10 minute waiting time but apparently that was a lie because there was no queue at all and it all begins the moment you stepped in!
My parents were totally fearless but my sister who was walking just in front of me, is someone who is very very afraid of such stuff. So we were walking with my mum in the front, followed by my sister, me and then my dad. Honestly and I feel so proud when I say this but I was not afraid because I thought that there was no real people and they were all machine operated AND luckily I had that mentality until the end because I was wrong.
It was not bad of a haunted house but the thing was, my mum and I had actually forgotten to remove our sunglasses so as everything was already dark, it was darker and my mum had trouble finding the way. Funny right! My best haunted house experience. Worth entering and it was awesome. ;)
Retarded picture of me with the bus outside the Haunted House
And.... that was all for Universal Studios Hollywood. A really amazing day and I feel that I haven't had such a wonderful day with my family in quite a long time. A really amazing experience.
I would rate Universal Studios Hollywood 4.2/5.

Day 2 was Disneyland and California Adventure theme park! There 2 parks are just opposite to one another and both were amazing.
Starting with Disneyland, we took the Jungle Cruise and Indiana Jones Adventure which were amazing even though they were in the first area which is normally deemed the less excited ones.
The one I really liked was the Slash Mountain which was a water ride that brought you into caves where the current sweeps you through singing cartoon characters which were really cute and the atmosphere made me super excited. The ride is for little children and I guess I'm still a child in heart because I enjoyed it as much ;)
Sadly, we had no time for the Mickey toontown which seems to be nice on the map. The queues were long and the waiting time was of course long as well.
Apparently both these theme parks were really smart and they has this system known as the Fast-Pass which anyone can get. All you have to do is use your ticket and this machine would produce the Fast-Pass of the ride and all you have to do is hold on to the Fast-Pass for an hour before you can jump into the fast queue. So amazing right? Unlike Singapore who wants $ for such stuff. Not being bias, just my opinion.
When people talk about Disneyland, the thing that most people say that you can't leave out would be the Space Mountain. And the queue at the park was long long long. There were limited number of Fast-Passes so when the max is obtained, the timing you've to come back is pushed back by an hour. And the waiting time was.... 65 minutes and the earliest Fast-Pass was 10.30 to 11pm (The park closes at 11pm)! And so we queued and damn, it was worth it. A must-ride in Disneyland.
Moving on to California Adventure Park, it was really huge and of course, no time for all rides once again. We took the Grizzly River Run and all the while when the round boat was moving, we were all screaming and laughing. Amazing because my mum, who rarely volunteers, rode it with me and my sister!
One of the must-ride would be the Soarin' Over California which was amazing and it was really real looking that it made me dizzy dizzy.
The most amazing ride ever ever and ever would be California Screamin' which is a high-speed roller coaster which I can proudly say has became the best roller coaster I've ever taken in my life, even better than the BattleStar Galactica Human and Cylon in USS. This ride was freaking awesome with it's speed and dramatic drops which was really high and the single 360. A must-ride!
We took a Fast-Pass for the California Screamin' and in the meantime, there was carnival games! I watched 2NE1TV like 2 years ago and they won this Dumbo soft toy which was really cute. Luckily for me, it was still the prize for the same game! The game was to shoot water using this water gun into this hole at the other end so that your clown would climb up this ladder to the top. Of course, the Dumbo was a huge soft toy so we needed at least 4 players for it to be the prize. Luckily, my family has 4 people and yes, we cheated. The 4 of us entered and of course, the prize was ours. I still wanted to win though but my sister got it for me! Awesomeeeee.
The day passed really fast and we ended it with shopping and the World of Colours at California Adventure Park. It was a water show featuring disney shows such as Brave, Pirates of the Carribean and the Lion King with many more! It got really cold at night and I was filming everything that my hands was freezing. These are important videos man! I stood there for around 30 minutes with my hands in almost the same position. So proud of myself.
It was an amazing day there. Enjoyed it loads. I would rate Disneyland Park 4.3/5 and California Adventure Park 4.6/5.

And so, that was all for LA! It was an amazing place that was really clean and the people were really friendly and approachable. A place I would like to visit again in future :)
Next post would be on Las Vegas!
