While listening to the radio while at work, I heard the DJ talking about news again and again but one story today made me very shocked and I knew I had to know the whole story. So I simply grabbed the newspaper in the staff lounge and read it during lunch time.
So unlike me hor? I never ever read the newspaper ;)
The article I'm refering to is about 3 women who were held captive and missing for 10 years. I didn't accidentally put a 0 behind okay, it's 10! TEN TEN TEN! And my face was like :O LITERALLY.
I can just cut it all short for lazy peopleeee. Basically, 1 of the 3 girls who were held captive managed to escape with the help of someone living next door and called the police. Apparently, she was in that dungeon for 10 whole years and what's more what's more, she has a 6 year old daughter with that scumbag who kidnapped her. -.-
Seriously, when bad things happen like kidnapping I would think that the kidnapper is just desperate for money or what but this is just not acceptable man!
Anyways, after reading the article I seriously prayed to god to thank him for watching over her over the years. I can never ever imagine how terrifying it is to be locked up even for a day! I believe she pulled through with the help of god and hope that she can recover from this asap... I mean, being held captive from age 16 to 27, practically a huge portion of your youth is already gone. However, it is also a blessing that all 3 girls are alive till this day. Thank god.
Besides this article, the newspaper attached 3 cases of woman who have also managed to escape alive after being kidnapped for a long time. One of the woman was held for 18 years. E.I.G.H.T.E.E.N YEARS. That is practically my age and I can never imagine how I would be able to live through if I am her man. Once again, thank god she is alright and rescued.
