Nope, I'm not refering to 3-in-1 instant coffee but 3-movies-in-1-day! Go ahead, say I'm crazy because thats what my dad said when I told him. Haha. Finally out of quarantine and did catching up with Charlene. Missed out on a great party but nevermind! I had a great time today. As sad as it sounds, it's my first time movie marathon-ing. Lousy right!? And so, the first movie we caught was... Monsters University!
If you don't know, Monsters University is actually a prequel to the 2001 movie Monster, Inc. It shows how the main characters met and how they reached out to their dream. Don't look down on this cartoon because it was a really meaningful movie okay. Even up till one point of the movie I felt like crying. I know like most kids (yeah, they practically took up more than half of the cinema) just watch for the sake of entertainment because it's a cartoon. When I was young, I was like that. I really didn't care what the moral of the stories are but now at age 18, I do. Honestly, the movie is really inspirational to me, believe it or not. It shows a very realistic face of life as some things in life are just not cut out for us when we are born, but it does not mean that we cannot achieve it if we put in the effort. Never stop believing in your dreams. From the bottom of my heart, this movie touched me and I would recommend others to give it a go. I give it a 4.0/5. Second was none other than one of the movies I have been looking forward to this year and it's the irresistible Despicable Me 2!
I was quite shocked that there were reviews ever since the preview I think. Loads of people rated the movie high and so it kind of made my expectations even higher. It was awesome man. If you think Despicable Me part 1 was nice, the sequel brings it to another level. & I swear, Despicable Me is nothing without the cute little minions. More action from the minions were shown and they never fail to make me laugh. Seriously too cute! Despicable Me has always been a movie more on feelings and not much on morals of life but on the entertainment side, this movie definitely nailed it. A must-see. I give it a 4.2/5. Lastly is The Lone Ranger!
Honestly, I only caught this movie because of Johnny Depp and I'm sure most people are the same as me right!? This movie was a letdown in my opinion. Not because I was tired already after the first 2 movies but it felt very lengthy. The movie was kind of funny but some jokes were seriously not funny. Unfortunately, I encountered a bad audience too for this movie and some people were laughing loudly for no reason which was annoying! I've read some viewers reviews and a few said that they fell asleep halfway and I almost did too. And note that I am the type that do NOT fall asleep in cinemas. On the other hand, the action was nice with the stunts pulled when fighting on the train and on the horse so it was practically the only thing nice about the movie to me. Sorry Johnny Depp, I love you but I won't recommend this movie. I give it a 3.0/5.

And so... yeah. You can obviously tell I enjoyed Despicable Me 2 the most. Feeling so good right now because it's really a good way to celebrate the end of quarantine. If you think what is there to celebrate about end of quarantine, lock yourself into your room for half a month and see how you tahan okay! More and more exciting movies being released lately too. Don't worry, this is only the first weekend for Despicable Me 2 and The Lone Ranger so there's still alot of time to catch it. Signing off! ;)
