Okay now I'm super duper excited to post about this. It had been exactly a month ever since 2NE1 began releasing singles once again. After 'The Baddest Female' & 'Falling in Love', this time its 'Do You Love Me'~!
And just yesterday, 2NE1 had their music video for the song delayed for a day (so it was released today!) so they released the dance practice and single first on time. I found out about the delay last minute about an hour before the dance practice release but I was totally fine with it lah because I love watching dance practice videos because I am more interested in learning the steps ^^
Amazing fact, 2NE1 sings LIVE in their dance practices and can pull off the steps pretty well. Yes, they are not the best dancers out there. But you don't need hard and difficult steps to entertain an audience. You need to be able to pull it off. I have loved 2NE1 ever since they have debut and am proud that I actually love each and every song they produced. The thing that made this super define line between them and other groups is that they do not lip-sync and they know how to entertain a crowd. I guess the reason why I love them alot above all is that I love hip-hop music which most 2NE1's songs are and look up to them because they have strong charisma which I admire! *Below are all my opinions. If you don't like what I wrote, kindly just exit my blog~ Sometimes I don't get why other groups (not going to mention which) just stick to the choreography like all the time when they are promoting like a robot. I mean, it's entertaining to see people pulling off good dances but if you're going to do it the same way for each and every music program you go on, people will get bored and will not watch after awhile because there is nothing interesting to watch anymore. I don't know for other people lah but that always happens to me. Also, I don't get why some groups lip-sync on live stages. If you're going to do so, why are you even performing on the 'live' stage? Just for people to see your face? -.- If people start arguing that its cus they want to focus on the dance instead, does that mean groups that do not lip-sync do not have dance well? I think 2NE1 proves that this is so wrong.
Anyways, opinions about the song? 2NE1 definitely returned to the kind of music they made in the past like 'I am the Best' and I love it as I always have because I love shaking my head to the heavy bass and when I saw them dancing, I wanted to get up to start dancing with them too! I think when I'm like super awake at night, I will just play this song and jump around until I very tired then go and sleep. Hmm... possible. I have done that before okay! ;) 2NE1's dances had never been hard but it gets more on the fun side and entertains very well. One factor I love from 2NE1's dances is that most songs would have a time for freestyle that they usually dance as they like when in live. A good example is the ending of Do You Love Me. Oh oh oh, and just last night, Do You Love Me topped 8 charts and I heard they are number 1 on the iTunes charts! And the music video that was just released this morning... TADAAAAAAAA~ :D
The video was really fun and something you don't see in kpop. I loved it because I would party to the song just the way they did and they look like they had loads of fun splashing around in the pool and playing! Last but not least, of course, the lyrics of the song. I mind a lot on lyrics because I simply can't listen to a song of a language I'm not familiar with and even sing to it without knowing its true meaning! I love the lyrics 'I think I have fallen into the ocean called you'!
