Poppin Cookin' & The Wolverine

34
Hello thereee~

It's a Sunday once again this weekend, I tried out Poppin Cookin' with Yanling and Charlene!

If you don't know what Poppin Cookin' is, it is a Japanese DIY kit they provide for you to make food like donuts or sushi from like packets of powder. I've been videos on it before such as Xiaxue's Guide To Life and I've always wanted to try it out because it is not the childish playdough kind of toy but theres kind of a science behind it. Well, it you have tried it before, you would understand what I'm saying lah.

So together we tried the Sushi set and the Hamburger set because I was told those two are the more popular ones. Since it's like our first time, I figured should try the nicer and more interesting ones. I got the kits at $10 each and I have no idea whether it is considered cheap but anyone who wants to buy it at that price can get it from ehub! at downtown east. They have quite a huge variety there as well.

Yes, I know it's not that cheap right? Hence, cannot really afford to make any mistakes lah. One thing created a huge problem for us was that the instructions were all in JAPANESE. It would've been easy if my sister was there but she wasn't so we had to figure it out ourselves.

And I think Poppin Cookin' is like for Japanese kids but we simply couldn't figure it out for the Hamburger so we had to search for a Youtube guide. And you know sometimes the colours on videos are not clear, we got all confused because we could not tell which colour sachets are the right ones.

It didn't take very long to make each one of them, well, probably because there were 3 of us doing at the same time. The sushi set was very easy and the instructions were clear with pictures so we were enjoying it, especially making the salmon balls (I video-ed it on Instagram!).

The Hamburger, on the other hand, was quite hard to make and microwaving is also required. I know, our hamburger looks so unsexy like a sky burger that can drop any moment. But I think it's quite good already lo. We deserved a pat on the back :D

I've seen loads of comments online saying that even though Poppin Cookin' is fun to make, the taste sucks big time. But for the 3 of us, we loved it. Seriously, it tasted great! Especially the salmon balls, hamburger and french fries. But it was so small and everything was gone in just a bite :(

Later on at night, we went on to catch The Wolverine

Well, I'm one who loves movies with loads of action and this movie definitely fulfilled that part. However, some parts may seem like weird and unexplained for some of Logan's actions. Maybe it's because I didn't understand some part of the movie. Hmm...

Not a bad movie and I can never be more amazed at how muscular Hugh Jackman is. I was @.@ waaaaah. I would rate this movie 3.2/5

Alright, weekends will be over soon so I'll go enjoy the rest of it. Until next time~ ^^
