Hello! It has been a really long time since I first mentioned I wanted to take up guitar lessons and on 31 August, I finally got my very first guitar!
At first I was looking only at the YAMAHA guitars because they are like reputable and everyone I know always say that it is the more preferred place to get good quality instruments. Of course, as someone who has zero experience in English instruments, I have no idea whose advice to follow but since it's my very first time, I think I can go for the cheaper ones to try it out first. And the shocking thing is that after I briefly scanned through the YAMAHA guitars displayed in the Tampines outlet, the cheapest I laid my eyes on was like SGD$500++ and I was super depressed. It's so damn expensive! BUT! It did not discourage me and I really wanted to save up for the guitar. And I did not want my parents to pay for me this time because I wanted my first guitar to be like super personal and if I pay for it myself, I would tend to cherish it more right? That was like about a week ago I guess. On the 31st, my dad and I were just walking around randomly and suddenly we came across Cristofori located at the top floor of Bedok point.
And guess what. The cheapest guitar there was SGD$99.
WHATTTTTTTTT!?
I was like thanking god I have not bought the guitar from YAMAHA. Be it my parents or me who paid for it, if I really got the guitar at YAMAHA, I would have like banged the wall literally. I'm not saying that guitars from YAMAHA are bad, just that I don't think its good to spend a bomb on the first guitar I'm getting. What if I lose interest? Omg $$ going down the drain! And yeah, I bought the SGD$99 guitar home. In the beginning, I was really looking down on that guitar because I thought it was too cheap and it wouldn't sound nice (yeah, typical people's thinking). But when the salesman demonstrated, it sounded really good. Maybe just good because its one of my first few times listening to a guitar live in front of me. I was super mesmerized by its sound that I knew I HAD to get it!
I have no idea if I'm holding it the right way
because I haven't had a single lesson on the guitar yet
It's like a camwhore prop now lololol
Oh, and I haven't mentioned, I bought an acoustic guitar ;) I love it so much now and it has made me so excited to learn but now is just not the time. I think I'm going to name it as well because friends that I have who play the guitar all name them and they treat their guitar as though it is gold! Right now, I guess I kind of understand how they feel. I used to go like 'siao' and roll my eyes. Lololol. And since I'm at it, featuring a brand new ootd of new stuff I've bought lately. I love the jacket (colour is accurate in the 2nd photo) the most ;)

I know from the photos my shirt look like 'Sneeze' but its actually 'CHEEZE'! I actually took all these in my room because I love my finger chair alot and if you notice, I actually hang my hats and beanies on the fingertips of the chair lololol.
Anyway, I have this super good feeling ever since I got my guitar and I'll start to save up for my lessons that should start sometime next year. I remember when I just bought it and was just walking around with it on my back, my parents were like saying I look like a professional player lololol.
Really looking forward to next year because not only I'm taking guitar lessons after my last semester in TP, I will also be taking up driving lessons and I'm also super duper excited for that because I've been waiting for it ever since I turned 18! I think I've delayed long enough and since my dad is not in Singapore very often due to work, I can fully utilize the car! Omg, can't imagine how awesome it is if I drive around at night and blast all my favourite music.
I guess all these are making me anticipate 2014 more and more but I've to work hard for my last semester first before all that. I'm also getting more and more busy now of days because of MP and I think I should work really hard for the last lap in polytechnic. Gosh, the thought of it just makes me @.@
