Hiya~! I think the title of this entry says it all. I finally got hair extensions! Today is the 4th day I'm going around with them and well, I'm still kind of neutral toward them. It all happened on Friday when I was out in town with Jan and we were looking for cheap but good looking shoes. Far East Plaza practically has stores that sells hair extensions like in every corner so I simply thought: why not!? We found a store that has quite professional looking staff and the colours they had available were really pretty! Too bad I forgot to take down the shop number but they had more services like trimming of eyebrows, manicure etc. Some of the colours really made me want them badly but the sad thing is that my hair is currently brown with light bronze highlights (used to be blonde but it all faded T.T) so most of the awesome colours they had didn't match my current hair colour. So sad, but I didn't give up though. I caught sight of this purple that I fell in love with at first sight. I think Jan could not tahan me also because I was super persistent hahaha. I took platinum blonde extensions too because it goes really well with the purple. Super chio colours, I think I want to dye my real hair those colours in future. When I am insane enough one day ;)

This amount of hair is 15 bunches of extensions that I purchased at SGD$1.00/bunch. Of course, they will not tie all 15 bunches into several strand of your hair. I had tied all 15 in 3 separate bunches on my fringe.
I love it a lot and on the first day, it looks really unnatural but after the first time I bathed, it blended in with my own hair right away! Thank god for that lololol. I was thinking that if it looked too unnatural, I would snip them off soon :( When I meet my friends or colleagues, they would ask if I dyed my hair again so I guess it looks really natural. I got so happy when people ask me hahahah.
Now, revealing day 4
Day 4
Purple under sunlight
The brown strands are my real hair

Apparently, the colour on one bunch had dropped a lot to light purple (thank god it is still nice) while the other two bunches are lighter but still somehow dark and close to the original colour. I have only shampoo-ed 3 times since that day and it has dropped so much which makes it not really ideal. The staff told me it would usually last for a month but I cannot imagine how it would look after 26 more days. Actually, I'm quite curious what colour it would drop to. My guess would be blonde and that would still be okay because I love blonde highlights!
Oh and I'm not able to snap my platinum blonde highlights because I can't find them! When I track the hair from the extension, all I see are the purple strands. I have NO IDEA what happened. May be because the strands have blended in and I cannot distinguish them from my own highlights.
Overall, I think that extensions are good if you want like some momentary excitement with crazy colours on your hair like me. I just wanted some colour to my hair because my hair style is beginning to get on my nerves lately due to the sad journey of short to long hair. It's quite cheap with just SGD$1.00/bunch too and theres not much you can do to maintain it. Just wash and dry your hair as usual, though sometimes it is a little painful when you accidentally pull the extension when washing your hair.
Will I get extensions again in future? I would say yes and I want to try like neon orange when the time comes that it matches my hair colour. See when I'm insane enough ;)
