Hi! It has been a really busy week for me and I really lack of sleep. Finally today, I stopped and went out to catch my breathe and the movie I caught today was The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones!
Before the movie: I've wanted to watch it ever since it was released because the trailer looks awesome. Another reason is because the male lead is like so handsome! The female lead is really beautiful too but frankly, the male lead is the better motivation for me to go and watch it. My first impression was that it looks like the same type of story as 'I Am Number Four' which was also a pretty good movie also with a good-looking male lead. But I've seen like comments on youtube that it looks a little like the Twilight Saga. In what way? I've no idea. The rating is high and most review by people who have already watched the film. This is the point that makes me have extremely high expectations of this movie. As a viewer, I think it's really hard to satisfy like a huge population of viewers because everyone has different opinions so if you can satisfy most out of the crowd, it should be a really good show! Also, the book is actually an adaption of a book by Cassandra Clare and it is the New York Times best-selling series. Yeah, I think I think alot before watching a show. Like a will search for the trailer and see reviews before catching it in the theater. Say I kiasu because I think I really am ;) After the movie: OMG OMG OMG I LOVED IT! The actor and actresses are really good-looking and I spent most of the moments just drooling over almost all the actors because they are too hot. Overall, I feel that the movie is really unique in a way with many terms made up and there was a twist (SPOILER ALERT) when the 2 main lead found out they are siblings (I know it's not true). As many people said in reviews, the action sequences were great and the male lead is super sweet lah, omg drooling at him most of the time! The female lead is actually Lily Collins who acted in Abduction in year 2011. Yes, the movie featuring Taylor Lautner. And more importantly (hehe) the male lead who is Jamie Campbell Bower actually acted in many movies that I've seen but I had no idea that it was him! In Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street as Anthony, Caius in the Twilight Saga (omg this one really could not recognize until I found out) and in Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows - Part 1 as the young Gellert Grindelwald. No wonder I found him so familiar! This is the second movie that has really caught my attention after The Hunger Games and I have a feeling that I'll just go down to the book store to grab the entire series to see what comes next! And this is like the only time I will be so willing to read books or else I will just go 'MEHHHHH'. It has a really beautiful song in the soundtrack played when Jace and Clary just got together and it was this song called Heart by Heart by Demi Lovato~ Love her voice.
