Carrie

HI!

Weekends are finally here and this is the final weekend for Halloween! It has been a really long day for me as I worked, went for a movie and headed down to the D'Marquee for Escape To 'Hell'oween (details will be posted on a later date)!

I've seen the trailer for Carrie months ago after stumbling upon it on Youtube and I've wanted to watch ever since. I had no idea it has been released and this weekend is the first since it's release two days ago but the response doesn't look too good because the cinema was quite empty.

My own summary of the story:
The story is about a tormented girl Carrie (Chloe Grace Moretz) who has been home-schooled by her highly religious mother but was later forced to attend a public school. Bullied by people around her, her strong feelings began to reveal a mysterious power she has within her. She never had any bad intentions, until things were pushed too far...

After watching it, I felt that it was a waste of money, but nevertheless, better to catch in once in cinema than purchase the disc. I've not watched the old version of the film but this version was rather meh and some parts were kind of predictable. It never reach my expectations in a long shot and it does not live up to the hype (I've heard many people saying they are looking forward to catch it).

Nevertheless, lead actress Chloe Grace Moretz did an excellent job as Carrie as her acting skills were superb. She is also one of the reasons I wanted to watch the movie. How can she be so beautiful? Super jealous!

Overall, it's a rather average movie and I wouldn't really recommend others to watch. I think it was because of Chloe Grace Moretz's acting that the movie was okay or else it would be a kind of a turn off for me. Rating 2.5/5.
