Hello! Finally towards the end of the week and I felt this week zoom past too quickly! It's gonna be a long weekend and I notice cafe-hopping is getting really common on Twitter and Instagram as compared to other times. Plus I have been deprived from good food for quite some time, and plus I haven't shared anything about food for some time, this post will be about yum yum food then! So some time back before I went to Korea, celebrated Namirah's 20th over at La Marelle Cafe & Boutique. As someone unfamiliar with Arab Street & Haji Lane, I just went along~
A really relaxing environment just that it was just too pink for my taste and I felt so out of place. Everything was just so nicely decorated and they even have merchandises on sale. The down side is that they have limited space and are short of staff.
Mexican Croissant
Looks super impressive but tasted rather average
The Nachos and sauce that came along was really good though
Aglio e Olio that I got but regretted in the end
The menu stated that it is spicy and I love spicy food but this was really too spicy
Had to rely on the rather average salad by the side to finish the whole damn thing
Mushroom Raviolis from Meenu
I love mushroom and it was so delicious that I ordered it after I was done with my Aglio e Olio Hahahaha, yes, I ate 2 portions that day
A chocolate cake and a caramel cake
Can't remember their exact names though
We were anticipating the desert because we heard they were really good
but it was seriously... average.
Okay, not really average. Below average.
Probably because the choices were different from what other people commented on
Overall it was quite a pleasant experience. Honestly, I felt that the food was kind of overpriced for their quality and it wasn't outstanding in any way. Just the environment was kind of good but besides that, there was nothing much. Maybe I should just try other stuff next time like their macaroons.
