Adventure Cove!

34
Hi & hi!

Super excited to share a new experience of my first time to Adventure Cove Water Park! It's kind of like a "finally" thing because it has been opened since November 2012 (I think) and that's quite some time ago. Have been really tempted to go so many times but my schedule was just so so so full.

Went over just last Tuesday because it's my off day with Wei Ren, Huimin and Liang Jun, omg I think I was super excited!? Really have high hopes for it because everyone I asked about it said that it was awesome, only 1 person told me it sucked lol.

I didn't bring my phone/camera along due to the obvious reason of being afraid of it getting wet. It has been raining badly the last few days before the actual day we went so I was praying that it won't. Luckily the weather was super good for most parts of the day and we managed to take almost all the rides and attractions available!

TICKETS

One Day Pass is available at SGD$36.00 for adults, SGD$26.00 for children (age 4 to 12 years) and seniors (above age 60 years). Express is also purchasable at SGD$10.00 during non-peak and SGD$20.00 during peak periods. Honestly, if any of you go on a weekday during a non-peak period, don't bother wasting your money on the express.

LOCKERS

Small lockers are available for SGD$10.00 and big lockers are available for SGD$20.00 for a whole day's usage. 4 of us took the small lockers that could fit 2 backpacks and 2 smaller sling bags with our slippers.

1. ADVENTURE RIVER
The Adventure Cove's version of lazy river. I expected a lot from this and it was good. Really fun dragging the floats and swimming around. A great way of starting the water park experience. The current was really slow so we were competing to paddle faster most of the time hahaha. The passes by the Ray Bay (place for stingrays) were nice and the environment was really good.

2. BIG BUCKET TREEHOUSE
Did not play lol. For kids.

3. WHIRLPOOL WASHOUT & 4. SPIRAL WASHOUT
Both rides side by side are about the same in duration. The ride is really short with just currents pushing you round and round as the name of the attractions suggest.

5. BLUWATER BAY
Adventure Cove's version of Tsunami. The place was smaller than Wild Wild Wet's but still great. I have always never thought much of the waves but today I experience it big time. The water was of course deep in the inner corner of the place and I swallowed a great deal of water (I was the shortest out of all the people who I went with lol). Great fun spent at this attraction.

6. TIDAL TWISTER & 7. PIPELINE PLUNGE
Both rises side by side and about the same in duration. Longer than the Whirlpool & Spiral Washout, these 2 rides are fast and fun but rather average. The fast currents bringing you add on to the excitement.

8. RIPTIDE ROCKET
The first ride we took when we arrived and I claim this to be the best ride ever because, like how the name suggests, it is super fast. And so for most of the rides we went 2 by 2 and for Riptide Rocket, the heavier person is to sit in the front and apparently I am heavier than my guy friend. So.... it was kind of embarrassing I guess? The ride operator kept saying "Heavier person in front, heavier person in front". -.-"

9. DUELING RACER
The ride always shown on Adventure Cove advertisements. Like how exciting it looks, it was super fast and exciting. The name has the word "dueling" because you slide down 2 by 2 at the same time.

10. SEAHORSE HIDEAWAY
Did not play lol. This is the children's pool.

11. RAINBOW REEF
One new experience which was snorkeling with many different fishes! I had some problems with the equipment but it was a rather good experience. The only thing that sucked was that I could not see much without my spectacles/contacts so all I could see was colorful bunch of things moving around lol.

12. SPLASHWORKS
They stated on the description of the attraction that there is packed with exciting climbs, cliff jumps and more. But seriously, I was looking forward to the cliff jumps but where you jump off is not high. Like half a level? -.- But the water was 3.5 to 4 metres deep and as most of us do not know how to swim, we made a pass for this.

13. DOLPHIN ISLAND & 14. RAY BAY
Both requires additional charges so we made a pass.

All attractions have pros and cons right? Adventure Cove was fun but the music they play is really limited. I heard Katy Perry's Roar around 4-5 times within 2-3 fours. Also, additional fees for the Dolphin and Stingray was really expensive.

The food at The Bay Restaurant really sucked and Adventure Cove doesn't allow outside food and drinks so we just ate what they have. Insanely expensive prices for food of not so good quality.

Just ending off with the one and only photo of us on that day hahaha. I got sunburn and damn I feel that I'm kind of tan now. Looking forward to go once again and of course, the day would not have been awesome without these people there as well. Hope for more fun times soon! Back to work tomorrow!

Oh oh oh, and...
HAPPY LABOUR DAY ;)
