Hiya! Happy mid-week! I actually have quite a few posts that are scheduled to come so I'm gonna take one step at a time to post them. Today's post will be all about CLEO Hair & Make! I paid a visit just last Friday with Cecil because she recommended it and I wanted to try something new for my graduation (because once in a lifetime right?) so I decided to tag along. The salon is really popular and there has been a lot of great reviews by bloggers like Bongqiuqiuand Peishi and I saw on their Facebook and Instagram that they have use Panic Manic colours really boldly. Love to try but not now. ;)
I did not really bother looking for any references for what I wanted because every time I step into a salon, the outcome is always far from what I expected. So I decided to go with it see how it goes. Upon arrival, Cecil was tended to by Ryo, whom has always been her stylist and she let him randomly assign me a stylist too and he got Ai for me! Omg she is so petite, cute and funny! Really patient too because I take forever to decide on what colour I wanted. Lol.
So what she did to my hair is what I had absolute no choice to do: BLEACH. Bleach like almost everything lololol. Here's an advice to you people out there: DO NOT DYE YOUR HAIR BLACK. Dark brown is good too but do NOT go for black. Unless you're not going to dye your hair again in the near future. I know many have warned me before I thought that it would not be that bad. Sorry to those people who tried to talk me out of it before. :/ Black dye is very hard to dye over so I have to bleach all my still black portions of hair. Of course not my highlights or else it would be 2 or 3 bleach times in total already. Here's my hair after bleaching everything:
It looks light enough here and my hair was wet. Hair colours tend to be lighter when dry and darker when wet. She did not dry my hair before dye-ing next so I don't have an actual photo of how it will look like. The thing I find special about CLEO Hair & Make is that they carry out hair treatment in the hair-wash-room using some steam thing that feels like a sauna! Plus Ai's super hands that are so skillful at massaging my head while washing, it was heaven! I practically almost fall asleep because the room is also dimly lit and the smell of the shampoo is so good etc. It was bliss~ For my previous hair colouring, I got treatment after my first bleach and none for the second bleach and my hair condition was still in a really bad condition even after treatment. Bathing was a nightmare because my hair will become so rough and tangled. It's really sad to see my hair like that and I couldn't remember what it feels like to have healthy hair. But after treatment at CLEO Hair & Make, my hair is in a much better condition! It's not as fizzy as before and washing it so smooth, it makes me so relieved! Now about colour. I actually wanted something outstanding as always but something also acceptable for job interviews because I will be looking my full-time really soon. The only thing I can go for is boring brown but I decided I wanted the shade of brown I have always wanted: ASH brown. I think I was kind of annoying because I was telling Ai I love it to be light but I have to have it darker so I can find work. Hahahahaha.

The purple highlights are super not intentional but I love it! I love it A LOT! Obviously it's because of my strong red highlights from before after 2 rounds of bleaching. I was more happy-surprised than the oh-no-surprised hahahaha! Thank you Ai!
Overall, the experience at CLEO Hair & Make was pretty good in my opinion. The only staff I talked to were Ryo and Ai who were both kind of shy and cute haha. Thank you for the great service and also to Sio who helped to blow-dry my hair. I love my hair so much now as compared to before!
The only downside is that their services are a little pricey but I can assure that they are really good and exceeded my expectations. I was super sad on the day before and on that day because I thought I'm going to have boring brown hair but I love what she did!
