How long has it been? Let's see.... it has been 3 months since my trip to Korea and I brought back loads and loads of skincare products because everyone has been telling me it is mad cheap over there so I took all my friend's advice! Sure enough for brands like Nature Republic, The FACESHOP and Etude House, they have great products and they have branches over in Singapore but today's post will be for an only-in-Korea brand known as The odbo! No worries for this brand because all their products are for all skin types and as someone who has never done any skincare routine daily except for normal cleansing, I figured that this would be a good start because I don't want to wait until I'm too old to start as it would be a little too late. Skincare should start from young!
Odbo has a Total Care Program laid out for people for step-by-step skincare regime. It actually depends on your age as well. Older people would require more of the products on the list and of course for those younger you won't want to use too much products on your face. After consulting with their friendly consultants, they recommended 5 products for me and my sister:
PEELING GEL
(Once a week)
Soft, smooth and shiny skin by Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract
One of the products I love the most because it makes my skin extremely smooth. What this does is to remove residues in your pores which leaves your skin really clean and bright! The residues are rubbed off after massaging before you wash your face like normal and the effect is simply too good! Always looking forward to Friday (the day I set to use it)!
O2 BUBBLE CLEANSER
(Day/Night)
The oxygen in the foam permeates softly into the skin to help it remove wastes such as residue and dust easily, cleansing the skin
I replaced this with my past cleanser, Clean & Clear and I really love the effect on the skin! I used to have really dry skin and my cleanser was not helping at all so I had to head down to The BODYSHOP to get really strong moisturizer for my face. Apart from Singapore's extreme weather, I also sleep in an air-conditioned room every night, resulting in my skin becoming extremely dry.
ODBO's O2 Bubble Cleanser leaves the baby skin effect on the skin and it keeps my skin hydrated! It can carry out every thing you want out of a cleanser and it is super easy to use!
1 or 2 pumps should be enough and just rub the solution in between your palms until a white foam forms before applying to the dry face. The smell is also kind of fruity and it goes on really smoothly on your face. Then simply wash the foam off with warm water before finishing with cold water. The feeling is super refreshing!
PHYTO AQUA TONER

Natural phyto oil contained in moisture with the use of high technology. Soft adsorption, immediate moisture
Sadly I do not have a before and after photo but I used to have really obvious pores that I just want to cover up with foundation. You know you may look alright with a layer of foundation or BB cream but underneath the makeup you still feel insecure? Okay, blame me for being vain haha. After 3 months of usage, my pores have become much less visible and I love the cooling sensation when I apply this.
And in case you're wondering, I know it says it is "For Wrinkle Care" and people around my age would have zero (or maybe a few small ones, I don't know) but its a really good toner. If it can help improve my skin to keep it less wrinkle-proof in the future, why would I say no to that? Well, that is my own conclusion.
AQUA SOOTHING SILKY ESSENCE

Visible smoothing and revitalizing beauty performance
As I've said, I used to have dry skin issues. This product is the main one that improved my skin condition. I use this moisturizer in the morning right after waking up for hydrated skin that would last the entire day and before I sleep so my skin have some defense against air-con haha. It also has anti skin aging properties (not that I can see it in effect but it was on the label, oh well)! Younger skin please! There is this SK-II advertisement that always pops up on Youtube videos too. I want my skin to look like how it is now when I am 22 or so LOL!
SLEEPING PACK

This transparent gel is super cooling and when I put it on when I am tired and about to sleep, I feel the cool on my cheek and it makes me more confident haha. Going to sleep feeling so good adds on to a better night sleep for me. And yes, it is for dry skin as well so it helps my condition as well! Thank god for all these! While over at their store in Korea, they told us about a bottle would last for at least 3 months and yes, after 3 months back in Singapore, I have already finished my first sleeping pack (I bought 2 sets of them). So far, I have been really satisfied with the outcome and a lot of my friends usually shoo me off saying that I do not need any skincare products because my skin is really good but that is so not true okay. When I first had skincare regime, I thought it would not make much of a difference but I just needed to try it to moisturize my skin but now I feel so glad I did. In case any one is interested to know, The odbo sells each of their products at around SGD$45.00. Anyone who visits Korea by tour group would most likely have the factory in their itinerary as well. Not just any shop in the street of Korea sells The odbo products so best to grab them all at once! Not only me, my mom and my sister are also using it and I can tell my mom's skin condition has improved. Brighter and younger even. Sad to say but I may be finishing all the products by the end of this year but I have a secret ingredient prepared before hand! Ever heard of the brand LANEIGE? If you have, good. If you have not, get out of the cave. Haha just kidding. Because I bought their Water Sleeping Pack so do expect a review on it in the future ;) Oh and before I end, I would like to just promote the The odboTotal Care Program on my Carousell. Not saying that I have super flawless skin thanks to the product but I used to get compliments from others that I have really good skin but the truth is that my skin is actually dry. Thanks to The odbo, I now have more confidence with my skin! Oh and before I end off, a selfie~
