Getting Fit!

34
Hi there people!

Hope the new year is going great to all you people out there.

The title of this post says it all, getting fit! This was one of the things I actually placed in my new year resolutions and I thought that there is no time to lose because my 21st is coming and I have to lose some belly fats (mainly) to fit perfectly into the expensive skirt I have prepared for my special day. Of course not only I want to look better, all these efforts would also be for healthy lifestyle.

Everyone I share this to would normally go like "har? Still so long leh. 10 months you know?". Well yes, but the thing is, no one can predict what happens along the way right? What if I still do not control myself and I gain weight and then when I finally have the determination to lose it but its too late?

I am currently 20 and as someone who once studied and whose current job prospects surround healthy eating and lifestyle, I have to admit that I have NEVER put any of that knowledge into use before. The food I love to eat are red velvet pastries, fried chicken wings, black pepper crab, curry potato, tom yum soup,  McSpicy and ultimately MAGGIE MEE. And I bet that even a kid would know that all those are just simply UNhealthy!

Also, I have no form of exercise that I do. Maybe dancing once in awhile but how would that even help if its not regular? I pant very heavily after climbing a short flight of stairs and I absolutely hate to sweat. I dislike the strain I started to feel when I ran 2.4 km for NAPFA test in secondary school and I only passed it ONCE back then. And when you failed, you have to retake the run until you obtain a pass. Boohooo super glad that that hell is over.

So.... What to do?

I thought it was an easy thing. But it took me some time to find something I was okay with. I can't simply push myself and chiong for an hour workout or so in the beginning. I basically do not have the stamina.

There are just so many different kinds of options. Luckily I do have a gym at my workplace so I'm building up my stamina first on the treadmill. Finding the right kind of exercise may be easy but where do you look for for motivation in the first place?

For me, it all started when I started to watch Victoria Secret Fashion Shows and all the VS angels just look simply amazing. It made me kind of demoralized in the beginning but I learnt to turn it around as motivation. So here I am now, already kicked some small workouts while aiming to have a body like Behati Prinsloo. Won't hurt to aim high right?

Diet and exercise come hand in hand. So how do I discipline myself? Whoa, this was the tough one. I am someone who forgets things easily and I can even forget what I had for lunch when I'm having dinner. Or sometimes I even forget if I have even eaten! For this, I have come up with a diet plan of my 'NO NOs' etc. Will share it when I share about it next time if it works!

And one more special thing would be.... SKINNY MINT! Only people who are deprived from social media would not know this. The ads would always come out on Facebook or Instagram.

So I have decided to give it a try starting from 18 January (yup I just started today!) and it would be a 28 day Morning Boost and Night Cleanse so it would last until... oh 14 February which is coincidentally Valentine's Day! Hopefully I am hot and slick for my date then. Hahahah nah just kidding.

I was looking at the reviews and before after photos and wow, if teatox-ing really gives such results, then it must be super amazing.

And so who knows how different I would be in the next few months to come. I have definitely put on weight (I weigh myself every week and refuse to accept it everytime I see the result) and I actually realize that fats are starting to be more noticeable on my chin, arms and belly now so hopefully there will be difference! Can't expect any results without any hard work right?

Here are my current measurements.......

Waist 30.5 inches
Hip: 33 inches
Thigh 20 inches
Arm: 10.5 inches

I really look forward to sharing if SkinnyMint really works and my diet plans if they really work. I do not want a bone-skinny body but I just want a slim and toned figure. Sounds rather reasonable right?

Oh and I recently chopping my hair. If you're interested to know hahaha.

 BEFORE

AFTER

I've been receiving loads of comments about my hair and they are 99% positive! Hahahah probably its better because I've not cut my long hair before for a long time thus the untidiness. Actually I did not even feel any 'pain' of snipping the long awaited long hair, probably because I've always had short hair long before. Anyways, it's one side exceptionally long because I want it to look like a tail. Hard to maintain style but I love it! I've missed boldly trying out new types of hairstyles like this.

New hair, new diet plan, new teatox routine... I would say it's a good start to 2015. I've a good feeling about this year and I'm in the midst of filling in my university applications so let's keep fingers crossed shall we?

Until next time...!
