April Staycation

34
Hello dear readers!

It's another chapter for me and my family went for a staycation at the one and only Sentosa! I've been to Sentosa countless times because I used to work at USS around 5 years ago (so long ago omg!). During my stay I also visited new stuff like the wax museum, trick eye museum etc. I've seen and walked pass many of the hotels there before but that was the first time I was staying over at Hard Rock Hotel

It was also the Good Friday weekend so everywhere was really packed with people. Be it eating or queuing for the attractions. Wasn't really a wise choice but we still enjoyed in the end.

Yup, so today's post is all about the trip.

Testing out my new SONY camera
Super love it!
I can take proper selfies with ease now with the flip screen

HARD ROCK HOTEL

That's my mom at the back

We swam only on day 1 after we checked in and the bar counter wasn't open
Would've been a really awesome experience tho!

INSADONG KOREA TOWN
For dinner!
Have been wanting to try this out for a long time

Ordering from the touch screen menu
Not only do they have Korean food, they have Jap, English etc.

Yummy ramen for me wheeee!

Then watermelon soju let's go!
Apparently my parents and sis have no idea what soju is
Find it really hard to believe because we went to Korea just last year -.-

So just a side note, we went to watch the Crane Dance at 9pm and the Lake of Dreams at 9.30pm. Both around a walk-able distance from one another. My family haven't seen the performance before but we all left in utter disappointment because it was kind of boring with just water shooting with some fire and some laser effects. I guess you can't expect much from a free performance right?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So for day 2 we bought the Sentosa DAY FUN PASS for 5 attractions of the day. Sentosa DAY FUN PASS enables you to choose 3/5/20 out of 20 attractions that are around Sentosa for the price of one and it was super worth it! For more information, click here!

For the price of SGD$59.00, we went to:
1. Skyline Luge Sentosa - SGD$17.00
2. Images of Singapore LIVE - SGD$38.00 + no.3
3. Madame Tussauds Singapore
4. S.E.A Aquarium - SGD$38.00
5. Trick Eye Museum - SGD$25.00
So in the total it was SGD$118.00 which is exactly 2x the price of what we paid for! Super worth it!

IMAGES OF SINGAPORE +
MADAME TUSSAUDS SINGAPORE

We were not allowed to take any photos or videos in the Images of Singapore. I can hardly remember going there before but they were modifying it awhile back. Only my parents remember the old one and said it was better. Just a revision of Singapore's founding and history!

To the wax museum...

Whoopsss

W looks like a wax figure here hahahahah

S.E.A AQUARIUM

I've been to the aquarium many times before and thus the lack of the photos taken of the fish or sea creatures. Did henna on the way in and it was so pretty with all the blings she sprinkled on overall. It was SGD$15.00 if anyone wants to know. The cheapest is SGD$8.00 but you can ask for more complicated designs at higher prices!

TRICK EYE MUSUEM

It was crazy. Absolutely CRAZY! Also due to the fact it was the Good Friday weekend, the queue was super duper long! It was a 1.5-2 hour wait right outside the entrance but it was all fun inside! Anyone planning to visit soon, do be wise and go on a weekday.

It was so funny because most people who took this photo are too short for the frame
But W and I fit just right into it! Hahahaha

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE

I've been there so many times but this time it was different because Sunday was Easter Day! We were there on the eve and the place was really prettily decorated for the occasion.

Promoting Fast & Furious 7 at New York Zone
The place was also playing the soundtrack on repeat
Btw, I did catch the movie a few days ago and it was... AWESOME!

Sesame Street show that I love love love!
#StillAKidAtHeart

And I never knew USS had parades! First time I've seen it and I hope it isn't just for Easter. A good addition with fun people dancing by but it was really hot and I felt really sorry for them as they were all perspiring like crazy. But they still kept their smile and danced cheerfully.

And as always, an OOTD/selfie to end off the post

FYI, I was wearing shorts!

UNTIL NEXT TIME!
XOXO
