Review: Pucker (part II)

34
Hello my dear readers!

So today is another review on products by my favourite makeup blogshop, Pucker! If you haven't read my previous post on their lip products, do click here to get some heads up first :)

So far I've purchased their products 4 times and I am blown away by how amazing they are.

2rd purchase:
Hurraw! - Earl Grey Tea (SGD$8.90)
Hurraw! - Moon Balm (SGD$12.90)
EOS - Strawberry Sorbet (SGD$8.00 on sale)

3rd purchase:
INNOXA - 2-in-1 Eyeliner & Eyeshadow (Brown Black) (SGD$21.90)

4th purchase:
AUSTRALIS - Cya Later Pores Spot Primer (SGD$19.90)

(I did purchase more products but they were not for me)

After beginning to focus on lip makeup, I actually realized that the condition of my lips are bad. Like really bad. As I mentioned sometime before, I have a terrible habit of licking my lips, saliva coating them and this makes your lips even more dry. I never paid much attention until I used Pucker's Sugar Lip Scrub (as I reviewed in the previous post).

So I decided to invest in lip essentials and when I headed over to Pucker's website, there was just so much variety that I had to spend some time deciding. Not only the brand of lip balms, but also the different types and flavours.

 HURRAW! - Earl Grey Tea

I never knew why I love earl grey tea so much. Besides drinking the tea every alternate days, I can now wear it out as a lip product as well. This is by far the best lip balm I've ever tried and I just love it so much. Really moisturizing with a super pleasant scent. I never regret purchasing this at the super reasonable price of SGD$8.90!

 HURRAW! - Moon Balm

It's not visible but it says 'blue chamomile vanilla' under moon balm. I'm sure everyone would know that our lips are really dry when we wake up in the morning. This moon balm actually helps to moisturize and keeps the moisture in throughout the night. I could already see the difference the second time I applied it. Less cracks and the lips are smoother for lip product application.

Added to my night routine!

 EOS - Strawberry Sorbet

I have heard and seen celebrities going about the EOS egg lip balms and how awesome they are so I decided to give them a try. Yes, they are really promising and even though I dislike the colour pink, I love the strawberry taste and smell of this lip balm. Now I know why they are so popular.

I heard from my cousin that these awesome eggs are available in drug stores in countries like Hong Kong but unfortunately that's not the case for Singapore so once again I have to thank Pucker for making them available in my home country.

I've seen the product on sale in random places in Singapore like Expo's Metro (or was it Robinsons?) sale but they are going at higher prices like SGD$15.90~. So far the cheapest I've seen is definitely from Pucker

INNOXA - 2-in-1 eyeliner & eyeshadow stick

For my 3rd purchase, I bought stuffs for mommy because there was a great sale on the week before Mother's Day. The INNOXA series of products were just released by Pucker not long before that so I decided to pick up a little something for myself as well.

Eyeliner is definitely one of the things I would not miss out when I put on makeup and currently I'm still in the midst of looking for one that I would stick to. I've used INNOXA's 2-in-1 product on 2 separate occasions so far.

For the eyeshadow part (the applicator brush is as shown above), I really love the colour payoff and the brush gives you really good control when you apply it to your eyes.

Control is the equally good for the eyeliner but I noticed that the eyeliner smudges really easily and it hardly (or never) dry throughout the day. I used it at home for the first time before traveling to Town by train (40-45 minutes journey). I threaded my eyebrows that day and the eyeliner smudged really badly when my eyes teared a little. The problem persisted the second time I used it as well.

For such eyeliners, I believe it would be harder for people like me who have really deep double eyelids because the liner would smudge easier whenever I blink, forming a faint line above my eyes because the eyeliner takes a long time to dry.

I did go online to research on other reviews as well and yes, there are people who also mentioned about this con as well. Overall,  NOT the eyeliner for me.

AUSTRALIS - Cya Later Pores Spot Primer

I don't think I've ever mentioned before, I'm sort of obsessed with primers. I have been playing with a few (Benefit Pore Professional, Stila one step corrector, Maybelline Baby Skin) lately and on days I'm just going nearby and not putting on makeup, I make sure I have primer on because I love my skin smooth and my pores less visible. I do notice that some primers help with oil control and I find this really useful as oily skin is quite a problem if you are staying in a humid country like Singapore.

I was interested in the primer offered by Pucker after I saw their video on Primers awhile back. You can check it out down below:

Before I tried the new primer, I liked to use the Maybelline Baby Skin because I love the texture it gives my skin but with Australis's Cya Later Pores Spot Primer, I can say that I finally found the upgraded version of the Maybelline Baby Skin. The primer gives you even more smooth skin texture and it is really lasting throughout the day.

I love it so much! It is also super affordable. Grabbed it on the first day it was released because there was a 20% discount for only that day and I received it that night thanks to Pucker's efficient service again!

Do check out Pucker's  new Youtube videos. Makeup tutorials on Tuesdays and cute 'Funny Fridays' videos on Fridays :)

I can't wait to see what amazing products they are going to bring in next!
