Startin Again

34
Afternoon guysssss

It has been a long time since I've been on track with my diet and workout. I admit that it's not only because there have been a few big things that happened to me all of a sudden, I've also been extremely lazy. Everytime I decide to start, I always push myself to do so at the start of the week. In my dictionary, that's Monday (some people take Sunday as day 1). But whenever Monday came, I always gave myself the excuse to do it the following Monday. Well... Damn.

The last time I was all crazed about healthy lifestyle was back in May (click here) when I blogged about detox timer bottles by blogilates and my workout routine (click here) was all the way in....... April. Gosh...

Some of my friends and family have actually told me that I'm quite crazy because I look like I already have the just-right size and they say that I may end up like a walking skeleton after all the workouts. Well, just to clarify, I am neither thin nor fat (in my opinion okayyy) and I am NOT trying to workout and control my diet to be thin.

My aim is just to be FIT

Remember, someone who has a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) CAN be UNFIT as well.
I think I'm in this category :(
Never forget that BMI is only an indicator of your health. It alone cannot be used to reflect your overall health.

How to calculate BMI?
BMI = Weight (kg) / Height (m) x Height (m)

FYI,
My current BMI stands at 19.9
It was 18.4 back in year 2013 (around 2 years back)

If you're unsure whether your BMI is in the healthy range
(according the Singapore HPB guidelines):
18.5 and below - Risk of nutrition deficiencies
18.6 - 22.9 - Low risk (healthy range)
23 - 27.4 - Moderate risk
Above 27.5 - High risk

I knew I had to do something about it when I realize that I am constantly weaker than I thought I was. I get tired easily after climbing up a short flight of stairs, I can't dance as long as before and I don't seem to be have the strength I had before when I lift or carry things. Those 3 are the main triggers for me.

Exercising has loads of benefits and I think it's really worth the little time you pick out once every few days. It helps to increase lifespan, reduce the risk of many long term diseases, improves complexion, boosts the immune system and... yeah you get it, the list is quite long. I also love and appreciate my body more now!

I do look kinda tired tho hahaha...
Shag after workout

Even though the relationship between my weight and height is in the healthy range, I personally do not feel fit at all. Right now, I'm starting up again with a new workout routine because I am focusing in both cardio and muscle toning (for my previous workout routine, click here).

So yup, I'm even starting to workout less than a week prior to my Thailand trip lololol. No doubt I'll be gaining weight right there. I've stuff planned out for after the trip and one of them includes me starting to detox with SkinnyMint once again. It's only gonna get busier and I'm kinda cherishing these last days of absolute 24/7 freedom to clear up some stuff I've wanted to do.

I've a new motto to live by right now, which is:

Can't wait for all the good things to come!
