Death is a scary thing. It may happen anywhere, anytime.
For her, she didn't know that the last time she hugged her parents was gonna be the last. She didn't know that it was gonna be the last time she was gonna wake up at morning. She didn't know the last thing she tweeted/Instagram-ed was gonna be the last words she's ever going to say to her fans out there.
As someone who is of the same age as her, I know that she has achieved far beyond what any normal 22 year old may have imagined. She was amazing and she worked hard to pursue the very thing she loved, music. She became an inspiration to me after I saw how positive she was, ignoring all the bad stuff on the way like haters and move head on to reach for the stars.
I have followed her through her journey of covers, to her achievement of having her original song 'With Love' on The Vampire Diaries soundtrack, to her weekly performances on The Voice, to more of her original songs after the competition.
We'll never know when such things happen. So a take home message from this is a general one: when facing the harsh reality out there, never forget that any day may be your last so remember to cherish those around you. Never take a day for granted.
The world lost an amazing singer. Rest in peace, dear Christina. You will be missed.
