Crystalinity: UD Vice Lipsticks (metallized)

I'm pretty pretty pretty sure any makeup guru out there would know that Urban Decay recently released a whole new range of lipstick series and today I'm going go gaga right here to review them for you!

& of course I can't be trying every single shade because there's like 100 different ones!?

It's hard to miss at any SEPHORA outlet because the Urban Decay section is always right at the entrance of the store. A new booth has been set up just for the lipstick series and I think we ALL gotta admit, it's an amazing range.

I was really trying to resist the temptation but the shades are way too pretty to just overlook. FYI, most of the more beautiful shades are kinda out of stock already so... snag them fast to avoid disappointment! I had no luck with the first 3 shades I wanted but I found the metallic ones that I couldn't resist!

Since this is Urban Decay we're talking about here, we do know that they do not hesitate to go for bolder colours like what they did for their electric palette.

The 100 different shades include really dark colours for badass looks like dark blue/blackish, to the all-natural-looking nudes, to shimmery shimmers!

MEGA MATTE: super-intense matte
COMFORT MATTE: creamiest matte
CREAM: original
METALLIZED: cream with high level of pearl
SHEER: punch of colour with sheet, shiny finish
SHEER SHIMMER: slightly transparent finish with floating pearl and a smooth texture

Whichever look you're looking to match, it's definitely somewhere there on that shelf.
Oh my god, the variety that's available...

Two words: lipstick heaven!

If you're not aware, I'm obsessed with metallic lip stuff so I knew these 2 babies definitely have to be in my haul. I went for creamy first but the shades I wanted were sold out at the store so I'll just review about the metallized ones that I managed to get my hands on.

I actually noticed that this makes a pretty good nude-shimmer when I applied a thin layer like above. This shade is a less dark one as compared to the other and its more to bronze-brown that's getting quite popular these days.

As someone who always go for nudes and sort of lack confidence to use red-ish lip stuff, I think this shade actually looks fine for me. It isn't too bright to be super eye catching and the shimmer isn't too over the top.

So here comes an important part of this review, the quality. Honestly, I'm not really a big fan of lipsticks. I dislike the need to reapply after eating and the transfer on the cups/bottles that I drink from but I still use them more often as they are not as drying as some lip creams.

Thus, the staying power matters alot to me! But these vice lipsticks surprised me because it was more long lasting than I thought. As compared to other lipsticks that I use, I feel that the Vice Lipstick is really decent and its really really moisturizing. And by other lipsticks I'm comparing with, those include M.A.C (that I use on an almost daily basis) and CLIO (drug store makeup).

Application was also really smooth too!
Both lipsticks are around the same price range of ~SGD$30. For a lipstick from SEPHORA, it's within the usual price.

Overall? I would say it's worth grabbing, mostly because of the wide range of colours and finishings. Out of those 100 shades, there is bound to be at least one that ladies would fall in love with. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting more of these sometime in the future too.

By the way, I did come across some reviews that mentioned that the 6 different finishings have different quality of staying power and application so this review is just my two cents of the metallized ones that I got!
